Welcome to 1000 Things Before Kindergarten with the Manassas Park City Library!

We are excited to start offering this program in partnership with the Library of Virginia and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

The goal of this program is to help children prepare for kindergarten through fun, engaging, everyday activities. There are suggested resources that you can view for inspiration, but any activity that promotes growth and development counts towards your child’s 1000 “things!” Manassas Park is here to support your family from birth to 1000!

Each participating child gets a folder complete with everything needed to track your progress and complete the challenge. You can also sign up on Beanstack. Milestones are important, so you and your child will get to pick a book every 100 “things” completed and when you complete the program you’ll receive a book, a certificate, and a brag tag!
